I was trolling old old posts and I noticed Pudge had disappeared and stop returning e-mails so I got curious. I took his e-mail and plugged it into the facebook search bar and it brought up a profile of a guy living in Saint Petersburg, Florida and Pudge's last location on here was Tampa Bay so I'm assuming it's him. His facebook was updated as recently as the NFL combine so he's alive and well just done with High Heat sadly.

We <3 you Pudge for all your contributions over the years!

Well Joe, I guess this is it, eh? The lights on the field have finally been shut off and there's only a couple cars left in the parking lot.

We all go back a long way with Heat Heat. I started posting on the High Heat forums back in 1999. We had Wes' Clubhouse, the infamous High Heat Dugout, and then...here I guess...or was it the Dugout and then Wes' Clubhouse....either way a lot of good memories. A special thanks to Pudge and his son for keeping us in the game this long with his great rosters and enthusiasm. I hope he's doing ok. I remember people like JClymore with his finely tuned, "TUNE files" and all the great 3rd party grahpics and sound files creators. We had some spirited discussions along with the sharing of ideas including some entertaining and sometimes annoying flame wars. Some of the youngsters in the early stages of High Heat probably have families of their own now since this all got off the ground. Jose Canseco and Jamie Moyer were still playing. McGuire and Sosa were battling it out for the home run crown....we wern't talking about steroids yet.... "It's sooooooooooo Reeeeeeeal." I'm starting to feel old, so I'll shut up! .........oh wait........Moyer is still playing!

A big thanks to the defunct 3DO for this great product that I'm still enjoying. I'd say I got my money's worth!

I don't think there are any other worthwhile PC baseballs games out there that I know of. I guess I'll be getting my High Heat 2004 fired up again and get everything updated. I haven't played since early last summer, so I've got a lot of editing to do! That'll take a couple weeks at least. I'll check in here now and then to see if there's still a heart beat. Happy Easter everyone, God bless and thanks for everything!

That's a bummer, but's cool that he at least appears to be alive and well. I remember downloading Pudge's rosters back in the mid-2000s when I got into HH, and I was just starting to get back into it again. Oh well. The rosters are a lot of hard work, I'm sure. When he went incommunicado on last season's rosters I was just hoping nothing bad had happened, and hopefully that's the still the case. Thanks again for all your hard work, Pudge.
